Taking liberty to introduced me in this first blog of mine.

I am a software professional and has a passion for travelling to different places, experience diverse cultures and taste their local food. By this web space of mine, I would like to share the information and experience that can be utilized by travel enthusiasts. I am also publishing some snaps of the destination which I have taken during my visit.

Recently I visited a small and calm hill station ‘Lansdowne’ in the Pauri district of Indian state Uttarakhand. It is a perfect weekend getaway from Delhi to spend with family and friends. One can go there in search of peace, solace, long walks in nature and admire natural beauty. Headquarter of Garhwal Regiment; this hill destination is spick & span and less known among people.

Accessibility

It is easily accessible from Delhi. Catch Mussourie Express which leaves Old Delhi railway station at 10:20 pm and reaches Kotdwar at 6:00 am. Lansdowne is about 40 kms from Kotdwar. One can get shared cab at around Rs 45/head and whole cab between approx. Rs 500-600/cab. Garhwal Express is other option if one wants to do a day journey.
